English Language Arts

Mr. Duffy's sixth grade English Language Arts experience serves as an intro to a true liberal arts education.  The focus is on learning to love reading and writing through the analysis of fiction, poetry, non-fiction, informational texts and drama.  Students will learn to write comprehensively about literature and to more accurately express themselves through analytical and creative writing.  While a diverse grouping of texts will implemented to gain various perspectives, classics of literature and classic American and British culture remain a focal point.
