Nature's Classroom is a residential environmental education program. Manhattan East gives students the opportunity to participate in a three day, two night outdoor experience. After spending three days at Nature's Classroom, living and learning together, students develop a sense of comradery, a confidence in themselves and an appreciation for others that carries over to the school community.
At Nature's Classroom students take an active role in their education by participating in exciting hands on motivational activities which are both academic and enjoyable. The project oriented classes help students realize the importance of their classroom subjects.
Every December the Manhattan East student body goes ice skating at Lasker Rink in Central Park as a reward for all the hard work they have done to that point. We have lunch at the rink and spend a few hours skating and enjoying time with our friends.
